Visa payWave: mobile phone payments

Visa rolling out payWave mobile phone payments in NY subway and taxis. Personally, I'm ready for this technology to be everywhere. It feels like we're moving too slow as a society, as a species... But I digress... Here's some video of payWave in action.

Now... we've all seen fine women in the workplace who dress elegantly... But have you ever thought, "You know what... this chick is too fine to be working here?" Citibank does... These fools been trying to get her cookies for so long with rejection that they give up and fire the girl... WOW.

MYFOXNY.COM - Debbie Lorenzana says she lost her job at a Citibank because the men who worked there couldn't handle her hot body.

Lorenzana, 33, is a single mom who says she has a long track record of high marks and awards from the companies where she has worked. She says her bosses at a Citibank branch in at the Chrysler Building in Manhattan told her that they couldn't concentrate because she is too sexy.

Inauguration Day

The Inauguration as posted by Amy Hamblin for pic2009.org

Today is the Day: The 56th Presidential Inauguration
Today Barack Obama will be sworn in as our 44th President in the most open and accessible inaugural ceremony in history. We’re opening up the National Mall for the first time ever and we’ll be webcasting the event live on our site, starting at 11 a.m.

Following the Swearing-In Ceremony, the newly-inaugurated President and Vice President will attend a luncheon and then make their way down Pennsylvania Avenue to their parade review stand in front of the White House. From there, they’ll watch more than 13,000 parade participants march, drum, boogie, and in a few cases – mow – along the 1.7-mile parade route.

Tonight, the President-elect will be be hosting the first-ever Neighborhood Ball with a fantastic line-up of talent, including Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Faith Hill, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Stevie Wonder and Nick Cannon (as DJ). You can be a part of the celebration in your neighborhood by hosting or attending a party tonight, which will be linked with other parties across the country through interactive technology. Gather with your friends and family to participate and watch the concert on ABC at 8:00 ET/PT.

Be a part of this historic moment wherever you are. We’re excited to share this day with you.

Crab Dribble

I know what Lebron did.... I'm no professional but I do know the game because I've been playing all my life... The step he took was a "cheat step" (as I call it) that players have been doing for ages... He doesn't actually begin his two steps until the ball is in both hands... It's like, he's still dribbling and then picks the ball up in mid dribble... A lot of 2 foot jumpers do this when driving to the basket... but it looks more like a travel when jumping off of 1 foot. I do it all the time, it's affective. I've been called for it too. I don't argue because I know that people won't understand that there is a cheat step in the game. If anyone wants to try it... Here's how you do it...

Run towards the basket while dribbling. When you get close enough to the rim (remember your going to take the cheat step) let the ball come up to your hand and "hesitate" while your legs are still moving... then pick the ball up and take the two steps... 2 points... You have now added the cheat step to your arsenal... Enjoy...

Weezy on ESPN!!! Look out Hov

This surprised me... not because another rapper was on ESPN but because Lil Wayne is on ESPN. I love dudes music but, as I'm sure you'd agree, it's not for everyone. So for him to be on ESPN, they'd have to have a respect for him as an individual as well as an artist... That's BIG!!!

Jay-Z - Brooklyn Go Hard (Video)

Jay-Z on iLike - Get updates inside iTunes

Ok... ya'll gotta let me know what ya'll think about this one... I'll stay unbiased and just say:

Jay-Z releases yet another "Brooklyn" song which is said to be on the upcoming Notorious soundtrack. Again, he delivers a different feel for how he AND Brooklyn are to be received and perceived... And he fails to disappoint.

Ok... The Routine has been modified

Ok... maybe this is because I'm a new homeowner and wasn't thinking about it. Here's it is from the beginning....

My house is a split level. Meaning, when you come in the door... you can go upstairs or downstairs. My downstairs is sub level so it's partially underground. Essentially making it the basement. There is a back door to my house which leads to the mud room of my "basement". Right in front of the door, there is a drain that's used to filter water to our sump pump and then out to the street. It works really well. As long as the drain is clear...

The drain was covered with leaves and other debris. So water had collected at the bottom of the staircase leading to the back door. Once the water got high enough... it's poured into the house through the door. The mud room was entirely flooded and the water ended up getting under the walls and then under my carpet in my office (next to the mud room). WTF!!!

Long story short... I ended up spending most of my night and all of this morning trying to get things back normal... Which is, in this case, dry. I'm still working on it...

Needless to say, my routine has been interrupted and/or modified for today. It's like they say... be careful what you ask for...

Too Much Cotton

Is anyone else tired of waking up at the crack of dawn just to go to work. I know I am. I also have a web development company (just started) that keeps me busy when I get off of work. Somethings' gotta give. And I don't mean my business. My job is cool.. I like what I do, and I love the pay... I just hate the routine...
  1. Alarm clock goes off
  2. I hit snooze
  3. repeat steps 1 and 2 three times
  4. I get up and get myself together
  5. go to the PLANTATION
  6. WORK, WORK, WORK
  7. go home
  8. WORK, WORK, WORK
  9. go to sleep at 1AM
  10. do it all over agin.
Something's gotta give... I've got a lot going on in my big ass head... I'm looking for the calm.
